Friendship Circle Mom's Night Out
On Wednesday evening the 20th of June ’12, the FC of CT hosted a “Mom’s Night Out” at the home of Rabbi and Avi Popack. This event was aimed at inspiring, connecting, and pampering the incredibly dedicated mothers of the FC participants.
A spa like sanctuary was created and each mother was treated to a manicure and a head, neck, and back massage by a team of professional therapists. Eleanor, chabad’s supreme chef, whipped up a rather delectable array of soups, savories, and desserts that would have tickled the fancy of every desiring pallet. During the evening, one of the FC mothers, Sharen Silbowitz, shared pertinent aspects of her experiences and her incredibly inspiring outlook on life.
There was a magical ambiance throughout the evening which transported the mom’s beyond all outside matters. Everybody felt a tremendous sense of gratitude for the opportunity to connect and to be part of such a warm circle of friendship. One of the mom’s had the following to say: “It was a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with each other and share some ‘stories’ about our ‘miracle’ children”.
A tremendous thank you to the FC program, to the mom’s, and to all who made this event happen. We look forward to growing stronger and hosting many more events together!
