FC Rosh Hashana Party / Shofar Factory
The FC anticipated the holiday of Rosh Hashana by crafting their very own shofars out of genuine, raw, ram horns. The Shofar factory was lead by our very own Rabbi Levi Popack, joined by Raphi Ress. After much measuring, sawing, sanding, and varnishing the children began to test out their hand crafted efforts, and when a high pitched sound came bellowing out of their shofars, they were extremely proud of a good days work.
To get into the new year spirit, chocolate coated apples and other sweet treats were made by the children, much to their delight! Everyone also got to design a special take-home Rosh Hashana greeting card for their families. To end off the festivities, we cut into a birthday cake to celebrate the birthday of Liora Silbowitz. We all sang happy birthday, and some spontaneous dancing by Daniel Sacks and Jodi Schaffer really added to the joy of the day.
A big thank you to all who participated in the event, for without you it could never have happened!
